Overview
This building was used as a post office until 1960, after which it was taken over by the private sector and abandoned as a vacant house.
Since 1997, the NPO "Vories Architecture Preservation and Restoration Movement One Grain Association" has been working on preservation and restoration, and it is open to the public.

Access
- Get off at JR Biwako Line "Omihachiman" station. Take the Omi Bus bound for "Chomeiji", "Kyukamura", and "City Loop" for 7 minutes and get off at the "Hachimanbori (Osugicho) Hachimanyama Ropeway Exit" bus stop. 3 minutes walk.
