Iba House
Overview
The house was designed as the residence of Shinkichi Iba, the fourth son of Teigo Iba, the second president of the former Sumitomo Zaibatsu.
Shinkichi Iba served as the village head of Azuchi Town and the priest of Sasaki Shrine, and was also known as a painter.
The building is a three-story wooden building with a half-timbered exterior. The first floor is based on Japanese style, and the second floor is based on Western style.

Visit
Iba house is managaed by the volunteer group Oregano. You can tour without reservation during business hours. If you have a large number of visitors, please make a reservation by the day before the tour using the contact information below.
